Loved it!
Quite something. Transfixed throughout.
More like the first two seasons, plenty of recognisable riffing on stories from the canon, a good villain - though they perhaps overplayed the Bond/Hannibal style references cos he’s played by Mads’s brother - and good laughs.
Didn’t like the cliffhanger, though, which really sparks a “what, *again*?” feeling in me. Or indeed a "flogging a dead horse" feeling...

But I had to put subtitles on because I could not make out what was being said a lot of the time.

A great episode which pulled together what turned out to be a three part story.
Yeah, I had loads of trouble with some of the dialogue, but I'm getting that with some shows. I'm starting to think it's me...

Great ending to the series, very abrupt way to deal with CAM but typically Sherlock-manic-ness, and I did chuckle at the ending.
I really don't mind seeing Moriarty again, it's the sort of cheek you'd expect of him but I don't think he's back. Since (excluding the 4th wall breaker ending for the audience) we don't see the flesh and blood man himself.
And it's interesting to note, that of all the shadows of his friends and foes in Sherlock's mind palace, even the mental copy of Moriarty is kept caged, jacketed, manacled and locked in a dungeon.
But, we never did find out what happened to his body.

I saw that Moffat said that Matt would be interested if it were the right role. (Which serves, I think, to disprove the fan theory that Matt left Doctor Who because of a falling out with Moffat.)
He might make a good Stanley Hopkins, the best of the Scotland Yard inspectors and the one closest to Holmes in intellect. What if Sherlock had to work an investigation with someone who was just as good as him?
The other choice that would fit Matt -- and it's a very off-beat choice -- would be A.J. Raffles, the thief. No, Raffles doesn't appear in the Canon, but Raffles was created by Arthur Conan Doyle's brother-in-law (so there's a connection). Sherlock isn't that Canonical anyway, so I don't see an issue with bringing in a character like Raffles from outside the Canon.
