His plans to go and get the 33 inch model? I don't think he'll share that here.@Shaw
Since the 33 inch model was located last year, have you made any further updates to your 33-inch plans?

Thanks!
The ship is from Women of the Prehistoric Planet (1966), starring Harry Kim's parents. The effects were done by Howard A. Anderson Company, which is how the model ended up in Mudd's Women.
MST3K did an episode on it that should be available on YouTube.
I suppose it could be that model. Here it is in the film. The ship is from Women of the Prehistoric Planet (1966), starring Harry Kim's parents. The effects were done by Howard A. Anderson Company, which is how the model ended up in Mudd's Women.

Same. This is not an episode I revisit. The last time I saw the ship in original VFX was on NTSC over the air, I'm pretty sure. So, it was under the originally intended conditions, with all of the originally intended limitations. This is the first I’ve heard of Mudd’s ship being a model, never mind a known one. I’ve always seen it assumed it was just a shape animated on the view screen, like the Orion and early Klingon ships.

The planet seen from space in the movie sure looks like a TOS planet.
And MST3K

Same here as well. I read somewhere years ago that Mudd's ship was just an animated element and not an actual miniature. If this is it -as it seems to be- then this opens up a whole new area of in-universe speculation about this design and how it fits into the larger TOS Trek universe spaceflight continuity.Same.
