There may be no new Boston Legal episodes or Star Trek cameos, but William Shatner is keeping very busy these days. In addition to his new talk show, Raw Nerve, he took time out to film a new TV spot for Priceline, titled Lighten Up. It thought it might make some Kirk fans

Oh, God, I love the Priceline commercials so much!! They always brighten up my day!

The man needs some sort of lifetime achievement award for these commercials. I always get a kick out of them (or at the very least I don't find them annoying) even if I've seen them a million times. He is so good at laughing at himself too.

I admit it. I've been flying a lot the last 3-5 years, and all those travel ticket consolidators like Orbitz, Priceline, Travelocity, etc all report the same ticket prices as each other, so I've been using Priceline simply because William Shatner is the frontman.

Not many entertainers crack me up like the Shat-man. The man has become a comic genius in the last decade or so.

Thanks, Bogdan. The Shat is such a funny guy, entertaining guy - best thing is he can laugh about himself. Not many can. He's brought it to perfection in recent years, especially with Denny Crane, but it's always been there. Kirk had this witty sly old dog attitude too, alongside with his serious, wholehearted, responsible ways. Perfect combination!

I totally agree. He is fearless about making fun of himself.

I especially love the Priceline one where he says, "i could get a better deal in my sleep......

I'm sorry, but my "no commercials since we got the DVR" policy also contains Shatner.

I've not seen a commercial since 2005. Absolute bliss, especially at election sime.

Not quit to the post but I am so impressed with William Shatner as a working actor. His career after TOS faltered. He did come back with TJ Hooker but not enough. I have got to say Boston Legal, he reinvented himself. I agree Shat is Canadian Gold

I feel so bad. I saw that the only post you've ever made here was to share this and I so totally couldn't resist thinking you're actually Shatner giving yourself a plug.

But still, I love the Priceline commercials. When I fly or whatever, I use it. Probably, subconsciously, it's because Kirk's ordering me to do so.
