Sure sounds like Shatner is being singled out for exclusion, so it's not like it's a big leap on Shatner's part.

Not really. Shatner is notorious for not showing up for events involving his Star Trek colleagues so I can understand why they would be hesitant to put his name on the guest list. Besides, they made it sound like he was definitely not invited even though in the end he was and all he had to do was RSVP if he really cared about going which is obvious he really didn't. IMO, just another Shatner publicity stunt.

I dont think Shatners rant is because he wasnt invited but because the interviewer mislead him that Takei was making a big deal about it.If you rewatch the video thats what it sounds like. Again its about time Shatner told Takei off.

Actually, the interviewer was Shatner's own daughter Lisabeth and with that being the case, I am mighty suspicious about the authenticity of Shatner's "outrage" but that's just my own opinion.

He didn't sound "outraged", he sounded disappointed and a little confused.
