"Shark" Cancelled?!

I heard that part of the reason why Shark was canned was because James Woods was a big pain in the ass.

I've heard the same thing from a source close to the show.

Who was she/he; whats was her/his role on Shark? I'd say internal politics at CBS contrived to end Shark if Woods was being a prat and the producers were having none of it. I wonder how long The Unit will last, if that was taken off the air for a longish amount of time alongside Shark?

Networks have a tendency to kill their own shows by constantly moving them to different timeslots (Quantum Leap, 3rd Rock From the Sun or Newsradio, anyone?), and the new shows are the most susceptible. Show's popular its first season, they try to strengthen a different night's timeslot by moving it, ratings plummet, network ignores the first season success and sees the second season as nothing but a failure and cancels the show. Anyone think Life isn't going to be treated kindly moved to Fridays?

Well it seemed like CBS intentionally drowned Shark in the worst timeslot possible; if it was kept on Thursday evening we wouldn't be having this thread now.

OK, over on Shark's IMDb forum, somebody from the show posted about James Woods being nice to the co-stars and crew but confrontational to the studio producers who were creaming off from the budget and treating to studio crew like crap.
