I always liked the idea that galaxy quest was the trek like show on tv in the trek universe despite the problems with that

I would have loved to have seen a crossover involving "Quantum Leap" where Sam leaps into the body of a young female morgue attendant who has her own experiences, of a sort, with time travel.

I would have liked Sam to leap into Jonathan Archer's body.
"Captain, the Klingons are firing again! Sir! ... Sir?"
"Oh boy."
*Cue theme music*
^I think what Stoek means is that in Quantum Leap, the only time Sam leapt beyond the span of his own lifetime (in "The Leap Between the States") was when he leapt into his own ancestor. So the only way he could leap into a 22nd-century starship captain was if that captain was his direct descendant.
I didn't since I hadn't seen Buffy S4 at the time, but someone (Greg Cox himself?) fortunately pointed it out either here or on Psi Phi for the clueless among us.Did anyone else notice the character of Maggie Ericksson in TEW 1, engaged to a man whose surname was Walsh?
I'm sure he tries hard with plot and character and drama, but when it comes to science and worldbuilding, he clearly couldn't be bothered.
Agreed. When you go back and rewatch it, it does not stand the test of time. The science is just awful.
Back to crossovers -- didn't anybody mention "Stargate: SG1?" I remember when Jack said -- referencing naming their new starship -- that "they didn't go for it." Sam said "for what?"
Jack said, "they wouldn't let me name it Enterprise."
(I probably misquoted a bit.)
