Share your home console projects ^_^

With the thread title as stated, I kinda' expect somebody to get "clever" and present a TARDIS console. ;)

Not that I would mind. :techman:

I'm sure there's been TARDIS console-builders.
Oh I wouldn't mind at all. I would love to see them as well. Bridges, Tardis', Engineerings, Sickbays, Shuttlecrafts, Shuttlebays, anything built by the hands of fans, I would love to see ^_^

Heh, my Google-Fu is not strong. What I would really like is buttons that click down when you press them, and switches that are not like light switch type
Well, one way to improve your Google-fu is to take a step back; if I'm interested in obtaining all kinds of switches and don't know what to call them, then I would start with "types of switches" in order to get some industry names for the things...then narrow it down to what i want.

Oh...definitely!

There's a site that focuses upon TARDIS construction, police box exteriors as well as interior elements such as the main console and wall sections honeycombed with "roundels".

It's titled appropriately enough, "TARDIS Builders".

I would provide a link, but the site was majorly hacked a bit over a month ago. Several members (myself included) feared that might be the end of an invaluable resource, but word from one of the senior moderators has reassured everyone all the data was saved and the team is currently reconstructing it. It might be August before it "regenerates", but return it will!

Trust me, Who fans can be just as meticulous about precision of recreations as those into Trek. I mean, I already knew there have been several police box props/set pieces over the course of the series, but these fans have analyzed the differences right down to the freakin' millimeter! The site presents several many "plans" for the numerous police boxes and consoles, listing exact dimensions.

Anyway, when it returns, I'll let anybody here who might be interested know of its resurrection.

WTF? That happened to Okudagrams.com and LCARSC too....
What the FRAK is it with hackers and people who just want to share creativity? Of all the things they could destroy,... WHY THESE? ... I just don't get it

This is why it's a good idea to Wayback Machine your own sites, so it's preserved even if the domain gets seriously hacked.

Pre camera phone times
True, but there were still cameras. LOL, my Mom's home office still has several boxes full of 3 1/4 floppy disks full of pictures from her digital camera. Meanwhile, there have been several pictures I had physical prints of that I had scanned.
Things like these little gems from Star Trek the Experience.

I know this technically qualifies as cosplay, and maybe I'll make a cosplay thread at some point

Here's one of the panels animated. This is a D&R (Docking & Retrieval) readout wherein the flight controller is assessing if it is possible for unit Alpha Gamma 7 to assist the critically damaged 13 back to the mothership. The situation looks dire!

Yeah I would NOT want to be that pilot.

"Good news, everyone!" to quote Prof. Farnsworth. The TARDIS Builders site has been resurrected with all material up to the point of the "hack".

https://tardisbuilders.com/index.php

Even my membership status was preserved.

Oh, you don't have to be an actual member to read all the posts and see all the images. You just can't post. So there's an invaluable resource for all your police box and console modeling needs. Enjoy!
