Not necessarily. He's a douchbag for wearing one without knowing how to use it. He keeps the thing so close to his mouth, you can hear every breath he takes as well as every occasion his lips happen to brush up against the mic while he's talking.

Well you clearly don't understand the commercial, but it may be because you've never been some place where vendors are set up, hawking products like this. For example, our State Fair here in MO has a number of buildings full of vendors selling stuff exactly this this "Sham Wow" thing. It's not uncommon for there to be a "show" or demonstration and the guy/gal hawking the stuff is quite often wearing a mic like this and broadcasting over a speaker while they're doing their presentation.
Clearly that's what the people behind this commericial are trying to emmulate. It's a simulation of the EXACT same presentation you would see at one of these vendor booths. I actually bought a product just like Sham Wow there a few years ago (it works really well BTW) and they were setup just like Vince is on the commercial.
He may or may not be a douche because of what's going on in his personal life, but to call him a douche for doing the commercial the way it's written? C'mon.
