SGU: No space battles?

hey guys, i just finished watching the 3 part pilot and i'm not too convinced of the show yet.

does anyone know if there are space battles up ahead?

i was really starting to like atlantis before it was cancelled. does this become more like atlantis later on? do any of the char's from atlantis show up on SGU?

The Lucian Alliance is said to be showing up in a story arc beginning in the finale and spanning to mid-season next year where they attempt to take control of Destiny for themselves.

Whilst the Wraith were pretty terrible, I think the tag of worst SG villains has to go to the Lucian Alliance, who were just a half-arsed attempt by the writers to keep Goauld tech/ships in the series after they were defeated.

Whilst the Wraith were pretty terrible, I think the tag of worst SG villains has to go to the Lucian Alliance, who were just a half-arsed attempt by the writers to keep Goauld tech/ships in the series after they were defeated.

The execution may have been lame, but the actual filling of the power vacuum left by the fall of the system lords makes sense. With noone to oppress them anymore, of course some of the humans scattered throughout are gonna make a power play.

Which wasn't really necessary anyway, since the Jaffa would continue using Goa'uld tech and ships.
