SG-U - Earth - (1x07) - (Live Commentary | SPOILERS)

SGU could create their own version of Dollhouse. You could use somebody's body in dangerous situations (even experience suicide), and you would just jump back to your own body when finished.

Of course it won't shut down. Nothing shuts down when you want it to on Stargate. Only when you don't want it to.

Oh, snap. It looks like Telford is going to sleep with Young's wife (and then probably destroy their relationship).

Edit: Though, I suppose he could have just been checking to see if she's been tested lately (and/or was on the pill).

I dont have a probleom with what Telford did. It wasn't his plan and he was following orders. It didn't make a lot of sence for him to stay and die needlessly. I don't see why he should have to die just to save face.

Fair enough. Though, the SGU writers gradually seem to be turning the guy into their new "Big Bad."

"Homeworld Command"?

A lot more realistic than the very civilian title of office of homeworld security. Still, C.O.s of major commands are 4-star, so they're either bending things for Jack, or he's a major deputy (maybe just the Air Force side)

Since they've got ships roaming about now, some without stargates it makes sense that they'd change from Stargate Command. Homeworld Command is a pretty lame title though.

Were they even AT stargate command? Or was it an office in DC where Jack was said to be when Landry took over the SGC? Homeworld command might be a different OP all together from the SGC.

There are only 14 active duty air force four star generals. The number is limited by statute, and the rank is linked to some very specific, very public positions. The Office of Homeworld Security, despite its importance, is still supposed to be secret.
