Well, do means "way" or "method." Taekwondo essentially translates as "kick-punch-method." So maybe sporkkwondo, the way of striking with a spork in one's fist?

I basically wrote it the way I did because ending with "spork" sounded funnier in my head. I do like how the "k" sound in "spork" transitions into the "kwon (권)" syllable in your version, however...

Unfortunately, "spork" itself would be unpronounceable as one syllable in Korean; rather, it would have to come out sounding like "suh-por-kuh."

Oh! I just remembered something!

Speaking of Korean things, props to Alan Gratz for making a reference to Admiral Yi Sun-sin, a national hero of Korea. A building in the novel is named "Yi Sun-sin Hall" or something like that. I forgot to mention it in my review as something that made me smile in recognition!
