sf/f TV development news - 2016

I think I did read somewhere that we will see some superheroes over the course of the series.
I'm not really familiar with Pudi since I never watched Community (I know that makes me a horrible nerd, I just never got around to it), but I'm a huge fan of Alan Tudyk so that one got my attention. I actually did watch the first High School Musical when it first came out, but I don't really remember Hudgens.

Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, following adapting Garth Ennis' Preacher for AMC, having convinced Cinemax to put out another of Ennis' comics - The Boys

Never read the material and, for me, Ennis is very hit and miss on the rest of his output, but this could be TV's version of Deadpool - hyper violent Capes doing bloody, sweary, silly things. With Erik Kripke on the boat too: http://collider.com/seth-rogen-evan-goldberg-the-boys-cinemax/

Given people have been trying to get this property off the ground for a few years it would not surprise me that the success of Deadpool and its irreverent and "mature" approach helped get it finally off the ground.

Hugo - Roll in the fervent, rabid internet casting couch!

Well, his mother used to burp him, so they have that in common.

And we have yet another post-Apocalyptic TV show. Is this to prepare us for the Apocalypse or make us wish for it?
