Welcome to the SF&F Avatar Contest Voting Thread!
This weeks theme is: Where'd th' Cheese Go?
Sometimes the makers of film and television try to update intellectual properties for contemporary audiences in vain attempts to avoid perceived cheesiness in their work. Like when Tim Burton dressed Batman in a black leather costume in the late 1980s. I'm sure the audiences of the day thought it was cool and not cheesy like the 1960s Batman movie. There are plenty of examples of this phenomenon in the history of film and television.
Here're some of them.
