As the last contest was all about moments that made us laugh, this one is all about moments that made us sad. It doesn't have to be one where you actually shed tears, as one, there are tears of joy, and two, some of us shed tears quicker than others. Whether it's the death of a beloved character (or the appearance of it), the break-up of a wonderful couple, a farewell among friends, or whatever, as long as it was a sad moment (and from SF and/or Fantasy media, obviously), it's allowed. It must be sad in the context of the narrative, though. Seeing a character whose actor recently died or something along these lines does not qualify.
