SF&F Avatar Contest: Give Me Your Hand!

Thanks to everyone who took part and voted in the last close contest, everyone.

This week, the theme is a very broad one: avatars where someone's hand or hands are prominent in the avatar.

In sci-fi and fantasy, the hands are all-important dramatic plot devices, whether it's reaching out for that elusive treasure, or grabbing hold of your nearest and dearest atop a cliff's edge, from a firm handshake with your staunchest ally, to caressing the computer console delicately and carefully, to punching out your arch enemy with your almighty fist - or maybe even severing his own hand and arm away from his body. The image of the hand itself may hold a special symbolic value in some stories.

I'll allow entries up until Saturday evening. Let's see those hands!
