The Romans had one as did the British, for many they are either the embodiment of pure imperialist evil or the height of civilization.

Of course in the worlds of science fiction and fantasy they can be something quite different altogether. I am of course speaking of that most imperial of organizations, Empire.

Wither it's galactic or medieval the notion of an Imperial state has been a staple of Science Fiction and in celebration of this not so little fact I have decided to make this contest a showcase of the Empires.

Your task (should you chose to accept it) is to create an avatar that represents the Empire of your choice. This can be anything that you think best symbolizes said Imperium.

...and I'm going for a wanna-be empire. Worked out about as well as the Thousand-Year Reich.
