Spoiler: Alias Season 4 finale

Syd and Vaughn (the bloke) have finally got together after 4 years and are heading for Santa Barbara on holiday. he suddenly tells her his name's not really Michael Vaughn and there's a reason why he was the guy she saw when she was a 'walk-in' defector to CIA, way back in the pilot and then that vehicle suddenly comes up and slams into the side of their car, causing an accident and it cuts to black. and you're left not knowing WTF is going on with Vaughn or even whether he or Syd are dead or alive

a cliffhanger means a dramatic situation, and there's no requirement that it comes at the end of an episode

Actually, it comes at the end of a chapter, scene or episode. There has to be a break with a period of unknown outcome for it to be defined as a cliffhanger.

I think the most agonizing cliffhanger is one that didn't get its follow-up.

The first one is a bit dark but the second is washed out and the wording shows artifacts. It needs to be somewhere in between. Think we can get them to re-shoot the scene with better light?

I wouldn't say that, but it was easily predicted that she'd be fine (well at least not destroyed). I did mull it over though
