Contest: ENTER SF&F Avatar Contest — Where No Woman Has Gone Before

With the previous contest focussing on black representation in SF&F, I think it would be cool to do this week’s contest in honor of Women's History Month and International Women’s Day, which are coming up in March. So let’s create avatars that either feature a work by a female writer making strides in the genre, OR show us notable feminist characters from SF&F. I guess these wouldn’t strictly have to be female characters but could also be male or non-binary characters as well — the important thing is the feminist part.

People seem to have fun with submitting multiple avatars, so let’s again go with three entries per poster at maximum. Please indicate who or what we’re seeing in your avatar(s). Voting will go up in about a week.

As always, these contest rules apply: Keep the size of your entries at 200 pixels by 200 pixels and/or 1 Mb maximum file size. And of course, keep it safe for work.

Any questions or suggestions? Am I overthinking the theme? Just let me know.

Have fun!

I might have gone a little overboard with this.

I will put up the voting thread tomorrow. Let me know if you’re still working on a submission.
