There are a few people here who have a very black and white knee-jerk reaction to credit cards as if no one can or has ever used one responsibly and to their benefit before. They usually butt heads with more reasonable posters who think that while they can obviously be abused, credit cards aren't inherently the spawn of Satan's wallet. Much quoting of Dave Ramsey and excessive use of roll-eyes emoticons generally ensue from that point on.
