Set destination, Starfleet Headquarters!

Well, there is zero dialogue on who did what to the warp drive. Kirk just asks where they ended up, and shows neither satisfaction nor dissatisfaction, least of all surprise, at the answer. (After learning the helpless status of his ship, he tells Sulu with agitated tones of voice to "get them to Earth", but this is not necessarily the mark of a voyage cut short, and could just refer to Sulu completing the scheduled final impulse approach.)

For the visual side, we see the hero ship spinning from the hits before she ends up where she does. But ships can spin at warp and still travel where they intend to - sometimes it's a commanded combat maneuver, as in "Elaan of Troyius", sometimes it's what a ship has to shrug off in a warp chase or space storm.

On the other hand, this is the same computer that recently expertly managed the slaughtering of a fellow Starfleet vessel. Perhaps it would rather go "We have arrived at indicated target. Would you like to a) ram it, b) fire full weapons at it, c) beam down for a murderous rampage, or d) issue an ultimatum first? Please specify while this ship still retains sufficient power to complete the mission of destruction of these subversive assets."?

For all we know, Marcus dug his own grave by programming his ship to be capable of the mission of killing the Enterprise. Khan sits down: "Ah, welcome, insert-name-here. This is the Bridge Security Monitor. I trust your experience with removing a subversive element of Starfleet from existence in the name of UFP security was a satisfactory one. Would you wish to eliminate further Starfleet assets before proceeding? Kill all Starfleet personnel aboard, Y/N?"
And then Star Trek becomes a McFarlane-style comedy, only not as funny.

Would make for an interesting cameo, though.
Khan: "You're strangely bloodthirsty for a computer."
Computer: "This unit must survive!"
