Set Construction Book Recommendations?

What I'm looking for in particular are tips for building "self-supporting structures." For example in many fan films, when I look at behind-the-scenes photos, I wonder what's keeping the walls upright. I don't often see overhead supports or even large support structures behind the walls. Maybe I've just not paid enough attention.

If three walls are angled (say at 15 degrees or so) and are bolted together, then they're not going to fall down. Because of building permits, I cannot anchor the Potemkin bridge to the walls of the garage. Instead, they're anchored to each other and to the raised platform deck they're sitting on. You literally could attach a chain to the edge of the bridge set and wench it out of the garage. It might get stuck on a step, but a lever could be used to lift that portion around. Once outside, it would still be standing.

A lot of sets are flat with 2x4 triangular braces on the back. Depending on the stage, these might be nailed to the floor, weighted down with sandbags, or suspended from overhead catwalks.
