I love Matt Smith to bits, and I hope he stays as long as Tennant but I'm not sure I want him to stick around much longer than that, he's got his whole career ahead of him.

I would like to see Matt Smith outlast Steven Moffat, because I'd like to see the vision a different showrunner would have of Smith's Doctor.

Yeah that would be interesting. Much as I thought it was time for Tennant to go, it would have been intriguing to see how the tenth Doctor would have fared under Moffat. The flipside of course would be that the Moffat era would only encompass one Doctor, even RTD got two

Meh, I disagree. I'd much rather see a consistent production staff than a consistent acting crew. That said, I'm in no hurry to see the backs of Matt Smith, Karen Gillan, and Arthur Darvill.

From what I've heard next weeks episode, Night Terrors is relatively companion light as is the penultimate episode of the series, Closing Time, well unless we're counting James Corden as a companion.
