This has no doubt been mentioned in the thread discussing the official airdate announcement for the UK, but since it's a separate production, I'm starting its own discussion.
The BBC has announced the official Doctor Who website is going to feature some sort of Series 6 prequel episode or mini-episode or webcast or something. They haven't released a lot of info yet. See the bottom of this post:

The key phrase here is the reference to "the first prequel" which suggests there will be more. TARDISodes 2.0?
Of course North American fans won't be able to see this on the website (yay for YouTube) and a DVD release is not guaranteed - we never saw Captain Jack's Monster Files, Amy's History Hunt, Attack of the Graske, A Ghost Story for Christmas or, obviously, the 13 Series Two TARDISodes released to home video. So grab it when you can!
