So awesome. I'm not sure the Doctor had a gun gun though - I thought it was a sort of remote device in one scene (with the modern phone box, which by the way pleeeeease let be the TARDIS pre-update!) and generally that the gun was a starter's gun ie not the lethal kind. Probably.

And the Doctor did a karate chop. That's all kinds of brilliant right there. Swine got to kiss Amy as well didn't he?

Mannerisms seem way too close to Tenant's. Amy didn't utter a word, but it almost seems like they did a 20 year younger version of 10/Donna.

This still has a lot to prove for me, I'm not sold yet on Matt Smith and that promo looked more SJA than Who to me, and vampires? (yuck). Not to say I'm not looking forward to it or that it's a dealbreaker, just that I'm a bit trepidacious. I hope the final product makes me look silly for my worries.

I'm not sure what to think of that. Some of it looks exciting, some of it not. I think it'll take some time for me to get used to Matt Smith.

I did like him, but I remember thinking that the series was now Doctor Who on speed because of his manic mannerisms and I had thought that series one had already been very fast paced. The first episode I saw with him was 'New Earth', though, not 'The Christmas Invasion'.
Oh well, I like all the four Doctors I know (One, Two, Nine and Ten), so I'm confident I'll come to like Matt Smith eventually.
