Series 11 News & Spoilers

At least when #10 left Rose for 30 seconds, the TARDIS did a full dematerialization. #4 didn't even get that far.

I think it's always a neat idea that in a 10 or 30 second period, the Doctor could have done a great many things elsewhere.

Maybe the blu-rays will fix this? ;)
In The Face of Evil the Doctor keeps talking about not remembering the business that created Xoanon or how he got involved in the creation of the problem that drove the computer mad. He starts to recall as the episode goes on but his memory of the details is always skiffy, The show doesn't say so but I always took that sketchy memory period as part of 4's early days and figured it happened in the space of that Robot scene. It would be nice if they made the Robot scene more clearly show the Tardis seem to fade and solidify to imply more a take off and landing in a new edition of the episode.

The book claims that the Doctor took a trip in the TARDIS one night during Robot, not that it happened in that episode one scene. It was Terrance coming up with a retcon.

I heard that their won't be a season arc this season. Anyone okay with the idea? Me I don't mind it. I am hoping that is what they were talking about when wanting the show to be more accessible. Maybe in year 3. I figure she has three years and they can spend her first two years basically creating new mythology then in season 3 bring back some of the old favorites and then do a arc that will finish out her turn in the role.

Fine with me if the arcs go away for a while. I also hope they do away with the super saiyan companions and overly magical/wizard Doctor.

While I've enjoyed some of the arcs more than most, I'm also looking forward to seeing just fun adventures.

It would make more sense if it was there at the beginning of Robot, with the Doctor still being a bit scatterbrained. Then he pops out of the TARDIS and suddenly remembers the Brig and Sarah Jane.

Considering most seasons of Doctor Who consist of stand-alone episodes with only specific episodes written by the showrunner at the start and end of the seasons (and sometimes in the middle) having any relevance to any sort of arc, this won't really be all that different.

Jodie Whittaker will be on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight. He's big ol' nerd so the interview should be great!

Also, I believe that I predicted this American talk show inevitability awhile back. :D

That is it, i am done with this show, just terrible, i won't be watching this show again ever, it has been ruined, it is now dead in the water......

.......are some of the things i would never write about Who ever. :p

A Guide interview has her saying that her Doctor is much closer to her real personality, which is contrary to her more dramatic characters from Broadchurch et. al. It's only from hanging around Chris Chibnall on Broadchurch did he see she'd have potential to pull off a lighter and more mercurial type of character. If her Doctor is like how she comes off in these interviews, I'm already sold. Bring it on.

I was looking at the guide and it looks like San Francisco is in fact getting it with the rest of the global audience. I'm traveling so I will be recording it, but that is nice that it won't be a 3 hour delay.

Just back from the cinema and they were airing the trailer there. It does look nice on the big screen:)
