Yeah, I'm not going to lie. I don't get most of that big paragraph. Anyway, I didn't want to start an argument. I only care about King James in that he's going to be a character on Doctor Who played by an actor I like. The Picts are boring shit and I'd prefer to never hear or read the name ever again. That is really all I have to say on those subjects.

Personally I think it will great to bring that back into common public knowledge. It really goes against the England Invaded narrative (really it’s the Normans invading bloody everyone, and sets of alliances that through the usual modern thinking, don’t really sit well with separatist narratives for the U.K....) and is gonna be interesting to see how they play his various....hobbies. (Strictly religious, writes books on demons, and was likely homosexual. It’s going to be an interesting hour.)

Only 15 kids? He must have been terribly deprived of allegedly preferred activities to want to be with a female and create more than a dozen heirs during their 57 year marriage, and is that where "Heinz 57" got its number from? My reading of British history has always been that sexual identity was somewhat less rigid (for at least the nobility) in the 17th and 18th Centuries than it is now.

My hunch is the debut will be on October 27th, then a nine week run finishing on December 22nd, with the finale going out on Christmas Day. That's just a hunch.

Beyond that, I'm aware of a marketing and merchandising push that's planned for October.

Great. I'm heading out on a smegging cruise on October 27 and wouldn't be able to get back into the real internet of things until after I come home late Saturday following. Stoopid Disney.

That said, I'd think that they'd rather space things out at least a bit and give us some breathing room, so an early October premiere makes just as much sense to me. We don't know for sure whether or not the ten episodes includes Christmas... If things follow tradition at all, we'll be getting Christmas as an eleventh episode, commissioned separately, to be filmed in June or July, no?

Nothing official's been said. While we could get a separate Christmas special filmed as late as September, I think the idea that episode 10 serving as both finale and Christmas episode is a possibility we should prepare ourselves for all the same.

Watching Elementary and Sean Pertwee just turned up. Surely the time has come, for a third doctor recast. Hartnel got recast twice already.

Even if they do that (which I doubt and hope they don't), Sean Pertwee won't be playing him. He's said many times that he doesn't want to play any of his father's characters.

Honestly, I don't even see the strong resemblance with Jon everyone claims Sean has anyway. Sean Pertwee has his father's distinctive nose, that's it.

Sean's nose is smaller, but they have the same twinkly, crinkly eyes, Overall a pretty strong resemblance. If Sean had the wild Jon Pertwee/Peter Capaldi hair it would be hard to spot the difference without a side-by-side comparison.



And if you got a Moe Howard wig for David Troughton, he'd be a pretty good match for his father.
