September Challenge - There’s an app for that!

For the September challenge, here’s an idea I have been wanting to see for a while: “There’s an app for that!”


Nu Trek has shown us that Nokia seems to have survived the 23rd century. So why not Apple and/or other smartphones, and more specifically their apps? It could be “Angry Tribbles”, a gold-pressed latinum converter or an English-speaking planet finder. Feel free to make it specific to any Trek incarnation, or a general app.

Love it! This is coincidentally similar to an idea I was thinking of posting as a challenge elsewhere; a few months ago, I designed an updated TOS communicator that has a touchscreen and cameras, like a smartphone, and I've been wanting to challenge folks to a "warpOS" design challenge, to create an interface that is nothing like LCARS, which can used to add interest to both the TriComm and to the monitors in the TOS bridge. Looking forward to what apps people come up with - I might have to put my thinking cap on .
