Figured I'd be helpful and get this up. Forgive me if I make a mistake.

Thanks once again to everyone who read my winning entry from last month, Kang's Summit. Everyone's kind words and votes are very much appreciated!

And now, the topic.

Like a certain pair of crew members of the Enterprise-D, I'm kind of a Sherlock Holmes junkie. There's nothing like reading a good whodunnit. The suspense of a finely written tale, the joy of trying to beat the protagonist to the solution, I love it all.

Your mission this month, should you choose to accept it, is to pen a tale wherein your character or characters are at the center of some sort of mystery. Anything beyond that one requirement is all up to you!

Word Limit - 5000
Entries Due - 30 September

The entries in order of appearance:
The Hound of the Baskervilles? by PSGarak
Double Faces by Kaziarl
Missing by RobFox
No Glory by Mistral

Good luck to all, and let the voting begin.

I went with Garak and Mistral. I'm a fan of Holmes, and I think Garak did a very good job. Mistral also did pretty good, a time travel story that wasn't overly confusing, and I liked the detective that showed up on screen.

I had to go with Kaziarl and Mistral this time around. I'm a sucker for murder mysteries, and anything with Andorians is bonus in my book.

HEE! I love my Halloween "costume". T-Bonz rocks!

Thanks Garak, erm... I mean Enabran. I'm glad you liked it.

Captain Sarine. You did know you could pick two yes? It's fine if you didn't want to, but I thought I'd mention it. If you'd like to nominate a second, just post a reply naming your choice and we'll factor it at the end.

I chose to vote once. Unfortunately my other favorite (TLR's Dragnet send-up) went over the word limit so I'm just gonna give him virtual cookies instead. ;)

Wow. Thanks so much to everybody who threw a vote my way! I felt like I was on really shaky ground with this challenge and had some stiff competition. I thought it could go any way.

I'll have an October challenge up later this evening, I promise.
