September Art Challenge - The Lensman

The Lensman

This months Art Challenge was just too awesome sounding to pass up. Weirdly, the one's that seem the easiest tend to take me the longest to come up with. Anyhoo.....

Thanks Kaiser! Looking back over the contest rules, I'm not sure if this entry is exactly in line though. I kinda skimmed the rules, saw Starscape's entry and for some reason had "episode" in my mind and not "series". Been trying to think of something else.....annnnnd it's just not coming to me.

I think it's great. Maybe the Enterprise could be a little bigger, is the only critique that I could think of...

Thanks for the kind words guys! MadMan, the reasoning behind the small Enterprise was to evoke some of those book covers from the 70's where the Enterprise tended to be small and in the background.

Yeah, that's what I thought you were going for... I always wished the Enterprise was bigger on those, as well. :)

LOLOLOL!!!!! I know EXACTLY how you feel! Growing up before Trek Core, DVD's and VCR's, those book covers were the only place to really see the Enterprise (especially when the local stations weren't playing Trek) and it was always like "gah! Why can't it be bigger!"

Trek Photo Novels were better than gold for this 70's kid!!
