Sell me on... Voyager novels

from the various replies I see that several books get most recommendations.

If I'm looking for that one Voyager story (single or multi novel), what would it be?

I'm sorry if this sounds like a repeat of my OP, but I'm trying not to give up on VOY novels and want to try a novel that wouldn't let me down (like the first VOY-R duology did :shifty:).

I want to try and warm up to the characters before Full Circle...

Thanks in advnace for any and all recommendations :bolian:

So far the only Voyager books I've read are the String Theory trilogy, which I really liked overall. While I do agree that the third one wasn't as good as the others, I thought they were good enough to cancel out the last one. I also own Homecoming, the first Dark Matters book, and Distant Shores, but out of all of those, I've only read a few chapters of Homecoming.

Go read DISTANT SHORES right now.

I can't stress the greatness of The Nanotech War by Steven Piziks enough. My memory is fuzzy but I recall liking it quite a lot when I read it and thinking the aliens were great with a decent amount of world building (or at least culture building) with how they deal with and use nanotechnology in their everyday lives and how it affect them so much that when without it they are almost unable to function at all. Then of course Seven of Nine plays a decent role in it what with her Borg Nanoprobes.
