Seen the Galactic Militia site?

Some extremely interesting ship designs on the Galactic Militia site.

I don't even know where to begin. All are amazing, a few are a bit "USS teh Awesome" in style, but still great looking designs.

I think I just threw up in my mouth a little.

On second thought, I don't want to win the Ent-F contest if that's what they are going to do to it.

Yeah, I'm sorry to say that IMO, those are among the most wretchedly ugly ships I've ever seen. You owe me two minutes of my life back.

It's as if there was a competition to see who could make the most vomit-inducing design.

Dont sit on the fence guys, tell us what you really think.

For me they're interesting, mainly as I dont play STO so i haven't seen them before. A couple are ugly, most are ok and there are some nice touches on some of them.

Well, I for one don't like them... I dislike the gunmetal look and the quasi-steampunk look it gives them, and many of the changes to the designs are just plain useless and visually unappealing. But again, that's my own personal opinion... I hate what STO does to its starships... it's like the STO designers are on a mission to find beautiful things, and turn them into things of utter ugliness.

The most interesting design for me is the U.S.S. Anthea (Miranda variant) at the top of the list. I like how the artist gave the Miranda a mini-dish.

The Envoy is semi-interesting. I've never considered the notion of forked nacelle pylons.

The Vigilant is a neat update of DS9's Defiant.

Some of these designs are just plain weird. The Olympic, Hope and Horizon and very weird, but at least they're interesting.

I actually like the steampunk influence, though it's a mild influence here. It's like alternate universe stuff.

I wondered about the lack of "roundedness" on the saucers and whatnot. I hoped it was more of an intent than a low quality render.

I gotta say, it tickles me a bit at how everyone is suddenly horrified by the look of the ships in the game they designed a ship for :p

If I had totally free reign over the E-F, it certainly would have been more fluid, but knowing the "beefy" nature of the designs, I bulked my E-F considerably while trying to maintain some grace. Plus, in the game they've been in a state of war for some time, so that also factored into mine, and im sure some of the in-game designs.

The Avenger class looks nice though.

I've said it many many many many many times.

Campbell's Chunky Hull Plating.

Fix that, and the random protrusions, and there's a few (not a lot) STO designs that are kinda nifty.

The Klingon designs are pretty bland though.

i always wanted to see a more heavily armoured ship design, but those ones look silly.
