I'm trying to locate an episode that I can only vaguely remember. During the episode there was some type of personal video game that became so popular that everyone was using it and the game began to affect and control the minds of the crew. Does any recognize this episode?

Yep, that's it. It's in the fifth season of TNG right before the Spock 2 parter, if that helps any.
