Seeking artist(s)

I'm probably going to get a lot of rolled eyes and stuff thrown at me for this, or at least groans, but anyway.

I'm stuck in a weird position: My brain can pump out starship and spacecraft and similar designs easily. Even uniform ideas. (All of my imagination thusfar has tended to be Trek-focused.) However, I'm blind in one eye (and have physical disabilities besides simple blindness)...Meaning that not only can I not draw even straight lines despite trying for 20+ years (however long its been since I was 3 years old, I got depressed at 23 at growing up and stopped counting my age, yes

), I don't have the physical dexterity for something like MS Paint, to say nothing of more complex programs. This is, as you might imagine, head-bangingly frustrating.

So I'm going to make an offer. One that lets me see what my ideas might look like (though I can provide links to the webpage of a play-by-email RPG I play on, where I get a lot of my inspiration; the only reason I'm not providing it here directly is out of an abundance of not wanting to be seen as advertising), and perhaps takes some of the non-art work off an artist's shoulders, allowing the creation of more fleshed-out pieces:

Despite my issues, I love doing the fluff-side: Of ships, starbases, and small craft; uniform designs, even (I can describe a uniform fine in text, in thoughts, but can't draw them). The problem has always been that without artwork, most people can't use my fluff. People are, naturally, more visually-oriented than the mostly-blind guy. (I have enough sight to read normally and see pictures, but not enough to have the hand-eye coordination needed for artwork (at least in my experience), if that makes sense.) I use visuals, yes, but I personally am totally able to live off text alone. Most people, however, cannot.

Could I maybe spend money and commission art someplace like DeviantArt (or here)? Maybe, but I don't have money to spend beyond rent and similar bills (including internet), being in school again at the moment and on SSI. And even if I did, I much prefer the friendlier, more collaborative process that is a non-pay process - I'll welcome (and to a point hope for, though I'd never expect it) your collaboration in turning my ideas into fully-realized pieces. In return for not being paid, I don't care much what you do with the fluff I create (well, I might object to it being used in porn, but that's it

), or the art created as a result of any projects undertaken under this arrangement: All I'd use the assembled stuff for would be my roleplaying and story-creation, and I'd do what I can to give credit for artwork I use, understanding that the credit given may not display very prominently on websites not my own.

So far as more specific uses: Really, it would be used on the webpage of either the RPG I play on (or used in the proposal of things to the GMs of that RPG) or any RPGs I might create in the future - I've found, as I noted above, that players and GMs have come to expect illustrations of concepts like uniforms, starships, starbases, and similar. This makes complete sense, and I often look for the same things to help my roleplaying. My problem, again, is that I cannot provide them myself, even in simplistic formats like MS Paint.

So, with that all said...Thank you for reading this far. If the offer interests you, feel free to contact me via PM, or this thread.

Have you tried Sketchup? It's free and doesn't require "dexterity" as you put it, you just need patience and the ability to use a mouse. It's not a "painting" program and there for doesn't require "hand/eye talent". It works more like a simplified CAD/CG drawing package. Though you won't be able to really design uniforms in it, it's great for starships.
