Mila Kunis, reporting for duty!
When Sgt. Scott Moore posted a YouTube video last week inviting the Black Swan actress to accompany him to the Marine Corps Ball on Nov. 18, it probably seemed like a long shot. But at the urging of her Friends With Benefits costar, Justin Timberlake, Kunis agreed to head to Greenville, North Carolina to be Moore's date!

Well... not to be too cynical, but this is only because he's a soldier and because she's promoting a movie. ;)
 
She'd probably do it even if she wasn't actively promoting a movie.

a) It's never a bad thing for a public figure to buff up their image.

b) Marine Corps Ball sounds like it would be fun, and full of hot guys. With shorter hair than I prefer but it beats the Greasy Hippie Ball.

It is when they are obviously doing it for publicity, rather than doing it to raise awareness for a cause. I'm not sure which this comes under though. As for "buffing their image", I think its a bit cheap when celebrities do that, in Kunis' case she doesn't really need to. As far as I know, she has a good reputation. Its just when celebrities bollocks their reputation by doing stuff and are then working for a cause for nothing more than damage control, thats what really gets to me.
 
I've heard of a lot of videos and sites for this sort of thing, but I don't recall one ever working. Seems like this guy got lucky. Good on him for trying, although there are probably going to be so many more copycats now, instantly ensuring it never happens again :lol:

Also, some reports are saying that Mila may have to cancel her date due to scheduling conflicts.

..and I bet she kicks some serious butt:bolian::cool:
 
I happen to have a very legitimate and very good schedule conflict that weekend, however, if Cpl. De Santis is unable to get a date with Mr. Timberlake, I would be more than willing to get out of my conflict, as it would be my honor to escort her.
