I have a theory that Deadshot did what he did for the team's own good.

Spoiler: My Theory

Jeanette said she could sense people's deaths, which is how she knew Bane wasn't going to die but was very close to doing so. She didn't sense Scandal, Catman, Ragdoll or herself dying; this leads me to believe Deadshot was only trying to slow them down and was taking the card for their own good after observing the discord it was causing amongest the team.

Now trying to convince the team of that when they catch up to him, which you know they will, will be quite another kettle of fish altogether...
