First, a big warning. Secret Invasion: Amazing Spider-Man #3 seems to include a very large spoiler for the outcome of this whole storyline. In fact, Spider-Man warns the reader that a spoiler is coming on the first page.
In addition to that...
Right, to business. Essentially, this is one huge fight. Veranke/Spider-Woman and Criti Noll/Hank Pym are taken down by the two best marksmen in the battle. Bullseye shoots a giant sized Pym through the eye with a rocket launcher and Ronin (Hawkeye) uses one of Kate Bishop's arrows to kill Spider-Woman.
* Earth's empowered people have a very good day, with the exception of Kate Bishop who is badly hurt and flown away by Vision.
* Iron Man's patched up armour craps out and he flies away (something noted in the Thunderbolts tie-in as well).
* During the battle, Jessica Jones hands the baby over to Jarvis (not realising what he is) and joins the fight alongside her husband.
* The battle takes a slight turn for the worse but they gain new resolve when Noh-Varr arrives and declares victory in the name of Mar-Vell.
* Spider-Man jokes that this can't be too important as Uatu normally turns up when something really bad is happening. And then guess who shows up.
* Finally, with victory almost assured for Earth, the severely wounded Criti Noll activates their last resort. We see a flashback, the same one we saw in Mighty Avengers - him giving Janet the serum that would allow her to grow as well as shrink. Suddenly everyone, Skrull and human alike, is bathed in energy as the issue ends.
In addition, this week's New Avengers is very interesting.
Near the end of the book, Peter arrives at Harry's coffee shop. This is depicted as being after the battle depicted in Secret Invasion #7. Everything seems normal and Spider-Man is not out fighting any Skrulls.

A red headed woman, apparently Jackpot, is seen relaxing in her bath. Her answering machine picks up a call which tells "Tiger or Tigress" to leave a message. The woman on the other end of the line is named "Sara".

When the Hood's gang were captured after losing the fight with the New Avengers the first time, the Skrulls who had replaced S.H.I.E.L.D. agents tried to place one of their own amongst their number by replacing Madame Masque. The Hood arrived in time and stopped this, killing several of them and revealing their true nature. They captured a Skrull S.H.I.E.L.D. agent and interrogated him. It seems the Skrulls were unprepared for the Hood's new group and had to improvise as they were trying to infiltrate all of Earth's significant superhuman groups.
The Hood's cloak allowed him to see that another member, Slug, was also a Skrull. They kill him and burn the building down, leaving no evidence.
The Hood leaves the group to plan and talks to his hood, demanding to know who the demon is. Finally, the demon reveals itself - it's Dormammu.
