They got those blasted pumpkin spice flavored Oreas at Wal-Mart. Yes siry, three packed spots on the shelves because people only bought two. That's it -- two.

I saw the Oreos the other day and sighed. Part of me wonders what they taste like, but the other part of me remains baffled by the Pumpkin Spice craze.

I still do not understand why the mere existence of these things -- pumpkin-spice-flavored items - aggravates you so? Are you being forced to purchase and consume them? If not, why is it such a big deal?

It's not the mere existence of these things. It's the overproliferation of them. Pumpkin spice is being introduced into products that have no business being pumpkin spice flavored. It's a fad that's way, way past its prime.

Nobody forces me to buy the dumb Star Wars theme-d gummy vitamins, band-aids, or pencil erasers I see at Target. Nor am I required to buy my kid Avengers-themed Eggos or Transformers-themed underwear.

There is clearly a market for all these things though, so they exist to be available to be purchased by those who would wish to spend their money on them.

I still see no reasonable explanation why anyone would have a problem with pumpkin spice flavored items.
