I dunno. The two episodes they picked to show in theaters from season one was pretty random, Where No Man Has Gone Before and Datalore. They at least picked decent episodes though.

It will not happen, but it would be awesome to see Contagion on the big screen. To see a copy of the Enterprise explode in High Def on the big screen,would be spectacular.
Thanks for sharing that excellent find. I only watched from 15 - 30 minutes as that seemed to be the limit of her talk about TNG, but what an insightful 15 minutes!
Also great to see she's still smoking 50-a-day.

No way they will be showing the top 2 episodes of the season! They want people to get the Blu-Ray to get the good stuff. Maybe one of those episodes, but I can't see them showing both.

Sounds highly promising.
Earlier in that Twitter conversation, someone mentions that the final episode of the sitcom Webster in 1989 featured Michael Dorn as Worf, which I never knew. Memory Alpha reveals the character was transported to the Enterprise-D, so perhaps it was even shot on the TNG sets. Could this be the kind of material that's being unearthed for season 2? (I doubt the Webster clip will be the height of artistic achievement though, but seeing it would be nice.)
I'm also hoping they've snagged an interview with Whoopi Goldberg. It would be a shame if she didn't participate given how comprehensive the interview pool is.

I suspect "Q-Who" will be one of the two episodes used for the same reason "Where No One..." was used, to best showcase the remade/mastered effects. "Measure of a Man" would probably be the other due to the extended edition of it. But glad to hear that there'll be an even for the season, the first time around was a blast.
Oh come on. These Blu-rays are presumably targeting people who have seen TNG's second season before, probably own it in a previous release. They'd be more than willing to shell out the cash for the episodes on Blu-ray after seeing them on the big screen, and the big screen airing is a bonus. So it comes down to what episodes would be best served, and two fan favourites - especially in an uneven season - seem a no-brainer.
I'd also expect the extended version of "Measure of a Man" to be the episode shown, as Trekker expects. I wonder - and vaguely hope - if it'll air in Europe at all. I caught "The Menagerie" on the big screen here in Dublin back when the TOS blu-rays were being advertised, and that was quite an experience (there's something about seeing an episode you've seen a hundred times with a big theater audience, laughing uproariously at some of the jokes and so on).
Oh, and I may as well project now: If they do this for season three (and why not?) it'll be "Yesterday's Enterprise" and "The Best of Both Worlds Part I". There's the most obvious two picks imaginable.

Actually, in a way, that would be the perfect thing to show in the theater. It would serve as a great preview to many of the HD restored episodes of the season! Only problem is that it contains so much season one footage too...
The "Reading Rainbow" episode would be great as it goes through the entire production process as it happened, not a look back, and it shows why they have to do so much work for the remaster

That'd be my guess too. The only others she didn't mention in the interview were Sirtis and Frakes, and Frakes doesn't strike me as the type or have as much motive to dislike her.
Everyone take a step back and think about this for a second... Can you believe we're actually debating which episodes will be shown (in high def) on the big screen? (it will be Q Who? and Measure).

Yeah it's great. Remember all those posts by people claiming "This will never happen"
While I still find this season a miss, it is an improvement in my view. The writing is a little sharper, the acting is better, the characters more defined, and the production is overall sharper (as it should get after its first year). And as much as I love TOS, TNG shouldn't be TOS, and this season moves further away from TOS (especially the look), heck just in the costume department the break is huge.

That's not a fate I'd wish on anyone, no matter how bored.
I didn't say it was like TOS I said it resonated with it and nothing wrong with that. And as the franchise lost that resonance over time they also lost me as a viewer.
For me the early TNG seasons (1-4) were like that off-and-on, but then I didn't care anymore. There'd be the occasional decent DS9 episode and the rest was disposable. After that for me it ceased being Star Trek anymore, particularly VOY, ENT and ST09.
She sure looks like it, and that's not good. Looks a lot like my stepmother who died from COPD recently.
