We'll have images soon, I've just been ridiculously busy.
I can happily say though that the season looks spectacular. The lines between CG and physical model have been blurred so much that you'll struggle to identify the times when shots have had to be replaced!

Too bad. The original was a nice shot, regardless of the screw-up.
I don't recall it being mentioned previously (including on TrekCore), but it looks that japan is getting some alternate cover art for Unification:
That doesn't look like Spock, but I actually do like that more than what the US is getting.
That is one airbrushed Spock.
I was trying to think of what this Spock picture reminded me of, and the closest I can come up with is anytime between when we saw him as a teenager and the spock we are used to seeing in The Search for Spock. Maybe it's the eyelashes that are distracting.

Considering the previous Japanese releases for BOBW and Redemption both had the same artwork as the US, this is probably just the artwork that is underneath the slipcover and on the blu-ray case itself (hence the visible blu-ray case in the image), similar to what was done with BOBW where the inside cover was different than the slipcover.

This is the cover art for the inside box, different to the slip-case we've seen.

Does the artwork (both slipcover and box) look as poorly airbrushed in person?

Ha, I'm afraid so. The Unification cover is not the best, but the fold-out slipcover is pretty cool!
I know I'm spoiled and I know they would have tried their best to locate it, but I am definitely disappointed. Three minutes of SD upscale is way beyond what I was expecting. I wish they would have said something long before now so I could at least get used to the idea.
