Season 6 only just finished shooting?

The BBC just ran a report on the final day of shooting Series 6 - just this past Monday, July 11.

But I thought filming of Series 6 wrapped months ago. Heck, Karen filmed a movie only a month or so back. And Arthur Darvill - reportedly involved in the final shoot - is supposed to be tied up doing a play.

So what gives? Was this a reshoot? Has Moffat left some goodie from Episode 13 for the last minute? (Remember we saw clips from the finale episode when the Today Show did its feature; I thought it was completed).

I have to admit this has me puzzled, but it's from the BBC. Also, Doctor Who doesn't shoot sequentially, so this could have been episode 10 for all I know - I'm sure someone will be able to work it out through the director mentioned.

I've never heard of a regular season running so late in production - more signs they're evolving to working towards fall broadcasts, perhaps.

It's apparently a pick-up shot for "Let's Kill Hitler."

Karen's quote at the end was... unexpected. Though it could be referring not to the series but to SDCC next week.

That end quote almost makes it sound like she's coming back for series seven. But I thought Arthur Darville was moving on already? What gives?

I like that of all the episodes they are doing a pick up shot for its the next one to air, but its not like they film in order so there is really no reason it shouldnt be that one.

As for Karens and Arthurs future, I am happy to see speculation, as it means I dont know the spoilers.

I took it to mean that she will miss Matt and Arthur until they get together to do either the Christmas special (if that wasn't included in this batch) or season (series for you UKers) 7.
