Season 3

The Squire of Gothos

Rear Admiral
Rear Admiral
One thing I've noticed, did the producers give more of an idea of a ship at work than in previous seasons? Watching Spock's Brain and The Savage Curtain for example, there seems to be more emphasis on the actions of the bridge crew and what they do in more mundane tasks. Little things like bringing up data on planets to visit for example, you get the impression that they're doing something more than just saying "Beam me down."

Also, in what other season do you get to see Lincoln kicking Kahless' arse

Well, less money to shoot on-location allowed more plots to be set aboard the ship...allowing us to see more of the daily comings and goings of crew members and officers. But you're right.

I think also, as the whole flow of the series began to mature and solidify, there would be more attention to detail taken. Certainly most characters are more well defined in the third season. The only exception I'd say is Shatner. I found him to be more "captain-like" in the first two seasons. Season 3 had some serious over acting bouts from Shatner.
