So, is this a one and done character, or do we think this character will be the "villian" talked about in season 3?

They've said on multiple occasions that each season is self-contained, so I don't think there's going to be much if any foreshadowing for the third season.

They did shoot some scenes for season 3 while they were shooting season 2 tho (to save some money and also because Covid) so my guess is that SOME stuff might be carried over into season 3, but not too much indeed. They also said that the seasons, while indeed self-contained, “speak to each other”. Whatever that means. Since season 3 is said to be based on starships and also said to have lots of references to TOS and the TOS movies and a “submarine fight atmosphere” or something, I can’t see how a (seemingly) time travel based villain would fit in. Everything I’ve heard about it so far makes me think it’ll be less time travel shenanigans and more “here’s your villain, fight for the galaxy right here and now”.

The class of timeship Ducane/Braxton used was the Wells-Class.

I think this is just a case of two separate writers making the same obvious reference in their time travel story.

I think they chose this actor for a reason though. Maybe just as an easter egg since it's a time travel story and he was in Relativity or because Matalas worked with him on 12 Monkeys, or both.

I figured Matalas just likes him. And that's about the extent of it.
