Spoilers Season 2 Trailers, Previews, and Promos

New trailer for episode 6

Cool trailer! Did Soong injure the wrong Picard and that's why he's injured? Did Picard somehow fall off the building while being followed / trailing Renee? (aerial night-time office building shots). Is Renee so drunkenly depressed that she's trying to kill herself by running somewhere and jumping?

Now there's a clear reason for the mariposa clinic to resurface... maybe they have to transport back to La Sirena because they doctor can't treat 25th century golems with hearts made of duritanium.

Was the BQ forcing Agnes to kiss Rios? (Like when Voyager's doctor took over Seven's body?) The multiple personality thing BQ/Agnes looks like it's going to be fun!

"Kore makes a startling discovery about her father" is part of e6's description. Does she discover he might not be her father? That he made a sketchy deal with Q?

Well, so that's finally solved: Ducane is not Ducane. Would have loved some time cop shenanigans.

This looks like a fun heist episode, hopefully.

That's just cruel. Why cast an actor from a time travel episode in another time travel story only to put them in a different role? Ducane should be at the top of the time cop roster by now...

Yeah, he's basically just an easter egg. Otoh, it's quite busy already with the Soongs and Tallinn added to the mix. Still.

I know, right? You'd think the 29th century time cops would exist on a ship a la Annorax and be shielded from temporal incursions.

But I suppose there's already enough callbacks to previous Trek episodes.

Would've been neat if he was Ducane and recognized Seven.

Good preview I wonder if it was Agnes that injured Picard due to the influence of the Borg Queen trying to control her and make her do things she doesn't want to do.I wonder what's going to happen to Renee Picard too.

Long time listener, first time caller, so please go easy on me!

Found this description somewhere online re: next week's episode: "Two of One: On Star Trek: Picard Season 2 Episode 6, Picard and the crew infiltrate a gala to protect an astronaut, Renee Picard. Kore makes a startling discovery about her father." Kore is probably Adam's daughter. Is the divergence in the timeline that Q somehow harms that astronaut Renee Picard?

IMDB: IMDB says that we'll see Ren Hanami play Director Lee in S2E6 and S2E10. We'll see a "Cute Waiter" played by Alexandre Chen S2E6 (probably at the gala?). Brent Spiner is credited in episodes 6, 7, and 8, but not 9 or 10. (although none of the regular actors show up in IMDB for the later episodes other than Patrick Stewart).

Other random observations from the various trailers:
- there's a brief scene where Dr Teresa Ramirez kisses Rios -- the backdrop with the lights makes it look like the scene takes place on La Sirena. this is in the preview at the end of S2E1.
- orla brady's eyes turn white as she's connected to pointed-ear headgear: this scene takes place in the mariposa clinic, the blood pressure machine and decor is the same. maybe Teresa helps them all out somehow? [as an aside: orla brady is 61, wow!]
- borg queen gets legs? we don't see the face, but we see an arm holding a dagger - the fingers come seem to come out of the same type of bodysuit that the borg queen wears. (alternatively, is this jurati who is now assimilated? in the preview scene where she is running on top of the cars, she is wearing fairly industrial boots that don't really go along with her dress, maybe part of a new borg outfit? we also see seven of nine on the ground next while jurati in red dress runs, so clearly she becomes an antagonist at least to seven. there are also cop cars in front of jurati, and it looks like the queen assimilates a bunch of cops in this episode and... maybe she's addicted to all the mundane voices of the police radio??)

From a news article:
- "In the coming episodes, the Borg Queen will have to make “some very big decisions as we get towards the end of the season,” including one involving Seven of Nine (who broke free from the Borg Collective). “It’s interesting because I don’t think it necessarily goes in the direction most people would assume,” Wersching teases." -- this is interesting... we haven't really seen any 1:1 interaction between 7 and the queen, other than when she convinces the queen to help them travel back in time.
Wow, spoilers that don’t ruin the plot too much. I love being teased like this. Thank you Koresoong

So Robot Picard still has an "artificial" heart?

Wow this looks amazing, Jurati and the Borg Queen actually *do* end up going to a party together bickering and b*tching at each other after all! We have the potential for one of the most epic showdowns in the entirety of Star Trek history! It would have been better if the showdown was with Seven of Nine though? Or maybe this is just the warmup?

“The game is set, the players are ready…. Now let’s see if you can play the game…”

Somebody can likely correct me on that quote as I have probably remembered it incorrectly, but this looks just like the type of situation that Q would put our heroes in to.

I just love 40th century Trek! :bolian:
