Spoilers Season 2 Trailers, Previews, and Promos

Picard season 2 started so improved and it again just all over the place right now.
5.5 seasons of paramount+ live action Trek IMO and it has not been good yet with pacing/story cohesion.

Don't have high hopes most of it will make sense when season 2 concludes or that season 3 is going to be any better with the flurry of TNG characters coming back - probably sidelining the more entertaining Picard characters (Rios, Seven)

  • what a ridiculously contrived high security party... :scream:
  • Picard at death's door again
  • having Spiner (again) involved as Noonin-Song-something, only to become Europa/party super donor and obstacle for Picard, then driving into/over him
  • earlier plot lines quickly thrown out of the window (21 century, deportations, social criticism/looking glass, New/Old Guinan)

4 episodes to wrap up:
  • golem's Picard's road not taken (including not dying, Romance, weird flashbacks)
  • Q's involement/reasons
  • Jurati/Borg Queen
  • Rafi's grief/loss of Elnor
  • Elnor's comeback from the dead?
  • Spiner-Nooning-Song something something involvement
  • probably a Seven/BorgQueen faceoff/show down
  • Rios and lady doctor teaming up, him staying in 2024/her getting sacrificed or joining him in the future.

We really need some serious plot movement next episode. We're now 5 episodes without knowing why Q is doing what he's doing or exactly why the timeline was changed. Are we really going to spend 3 more episodes in the past just spinning wheels? Did the old TNG production designers return for the last 2 episodes of season 2 (hopefully meaning the crew returns to the future in episode 9)? The first 3 episodes were really strong, almost like a different show from last season, the last 3 have been ok but it feels like the show is really floundering right now. I'm already bored of 2024.

Next week's preview shows that the BQ has locked out La Sirena's computer with Borg algorithms. Maybe that somehow fixes Elnor, since he is in a stasis pod? Seven/Raffi's outfits are the same as the screencap above where Elnor appears:

How geekily nitpicky is it that I was mildly annoyed by them including Kirk and Spock on Iotia as time travel?

I doubt there'll be a Seven/ BQ showdown, as they haven't been interested in involving Seven other than BORG BAD! SHOOT BORG! - ok, that's probably enough, lol.

Adding to the list:
  • Kore's fate
  • Some more info on the Watchers and whether there is a Tallinn/ Laris connection
I expect the next episode will be mostly Picard's psyche/ NotLaris' trip there, with a bit of search for Jurati and Jurati/ BQ shenanigans.

Actually, some kind of confrontation between Seven and the Queen is pretty much certain, at this point. There were clips in one of the trailers of Agnes in the red dress striding down the street with Seven crumpled on the ground behind her. At the time, we assumed they'd been attacked by some enemy, but now it seems clear that it is going to be Seven fighting the Borg Queen in Agnes's body - possibly next week!

Picard still has to meet Jay Karnes' character and with the pace of these last few episodes it's unlikely to happen next week. Maybe he is the same timecop character from Voyager who comes into play once the crew has repaired the timeline?

Now I'm confused, I thought that had been debunked in spoilers, and he'll be playing someone else?

(Would love him to play Ducane again.)

I've seen speculation that he's playing someone else based on the trailer, but as far as I know that hasn't been confirmed.

Was just speculating that he could be their ticket home if the crew is locked out of La Sirena and Agnes/BQ won't help them get back. He would exist again once they fix the timeline.

I wonder Tallin's mind meld device will figure in freeing Jurati from the Queen?

Do you happen to know which trailer? I don't remember this.

I want to say it was the very last trailer released before the season began, but I couldn't swear to it. I think it was, though, because it was so spoilery. Unless it was in one of the trailers that got yanked. But I definitely saw the clip, I remember commenting that everyone was talking about Agnes in the dress but no one had noticed Seven on the floor behind her.

I don't remember seeing 7 on the ground, but I did see a pulled trailer that had Agnes walking on cars I think.

Is the woman in red Jurati... or the Borg Queen in 2024?
Waaaay back on page 44, it was the trailer that Argentinian fan-site posted and then took down

Looks pretty interesting. Looks like we will get two plots, the inception plot inside Picard's mind and the Jurati/Borg plot. We also learn that Jurati/Queen is not yet strong enough to assimilate others but presumably will be at some point. So the crew has to stop her before that happens.

I did chuckle a bit when Seven says we may have doomed this world, referring to Borg Queen inside Jurati being loose. Yeah, no kidding, you of all people should know how dangerous a Borg Queen is and yet you guys kept her on the ship with minimal security.

Trailer looks good. I wonder if we’re done with the Renee plot or if we’ll see some of that Europa mission.

BQ/Agnes doing their spin on the T2: Judgment Day bar scene? Sign me the fuck up. Alison Pill looks like she'll continue to carry the middle of the season.

Also hey Guinan's back and something's happening to shake her bar around quite a bit. Wonder if we'll see her ship used for something..?

Are we gonna finally see some El-Aurian Technology (aside from those refugee ships...assuming they were actually El-Aurian....)
