I just noticed something about the trailer:

Most of the time, Pike is wearing a TOS-style uniform, except for one bit (it's when he says "Ruffle a few feathers") where he has a DSC uniform.

Is there any special significance to this?

That dialogue is from the end of the premiere, where Pike is officially the Captain of Discovery and he is speaking to Burnham (and the audience) about what this season is going to be like.


They should put Enterprise in drydock for a few years to get a refit, while Pike is the Discovery Captain. Since Pike already completed a 5 yr mission on the Enterprise.

Having been sick for the last two weeks I will freely attest to not always being prepared for the sneezes that come with illness. I applaud your self-awareness but it doesn't always happen.

That’s my point — anyone on a starship would know that. Respecting other cultures goes in both directions, and that’s a core Starfleet value.

Kind of explains Burnham saying there's a lot of it going around or whatever it is she says in the trailer. Everyone in that elevator would be sprayed in snot. Germ invested, potentially life-threatening globules of mucus. Especially that poor dope who copped the full force.
