Season 2 books

Hi - I really enjoyed Season 2 of TNG, specifically the weird inexplicable episodes like "Time Squared," "The Royale," & "Where Silence has Lease." Can someone tell me the titles or series of Star Trek novels (doesn't have to be just TNG) that has that kind of flavor? Thanks!

Well, the LEGACIES trilogy, starting next month, takes place during the second season of TOS, but I guess that's not what you're looking for. :)

Saw the thread title and couldn't resist jumping in, only to realize "Oh, that second season."

If you liked "Time Squared," you should read Watching the Clock, by Christopher Bennett. He provides an interesting story throughline for that and a few other TNG time travel stories.

"Watching the Clock" is kind of the opposite of inexplicable though, as much as I love it; it's full of explanations, so if you're wanting a book that leaves you lacking for answers the way "Time Squared" or "Where Silence Has Lease" did, it wouldn't really fit.

Honestly, I'm having trouble thinking of a post-numbering book with that sort of TNG S2 flavor, but I'm sure there's got to be something from the numbered run.

Oh, there were a number of things I deliberately left unexplained, alongside all the things I did explain. Like Lucsly's backstory, for instance, and a lot of specifics about the other temporal agencies. I resolve a number of mysteries but introduce others.

True, but it's not really in the same feel as the episodes Matt-11 mentioned. There's not that same sensation of "What." there after you finish WTC, I think.
