Yeah, I mentioned him a month or so back.
To clarify my earlier statement, I don't mind if Discovery comes out with Act 1 of Season 2 early, but I'd prefer a finished product which is excellent over one which is timely.
If the subscription drops due to no Discovery are what's causing this, CBS better get started on that Pike show stat. And maybe 1-2 other Trek shows as well. That ought to pretty much get them covered, so there is at least one episode of Trek coming out in every single calendar month, locking down the hardcore Trekker subscription.

There’s not a chance CBS were ever going to allow this to come out in 2019. And given the season isn’t being dropped in one load, there’s absolutely no reason for the producers to expect such prep time either.

Enough with this subscription drop problem. It doesn't exist. The bundle deal with Showtime, The Good Fight and the live TV stuff will equal new subscriptions.
#1 or Colt would make sense in transfer to discovery to tie the two together. I think someone may have mentioned before but couldn't #1 become captain (especially then making Majel Barrett's character a captain - that's some fan service right there).

If any TV show can't start filming a non-pilot season in April and be finished by fall, it has way too many problems that would be fixed by a few extra weeks - or even months - of production.
Saw this on Google News. Hands held up, I was misinformed and apologise. It's also unlikely they'll increase the episode order to 15 like last year, because the production dates are locked. Sometimes a network orders a fixed number of episodes, and they slip an extra episode or two in, but that's unlikely to happen here given the cost.
Don't sweat it - I don't think that anyone really thought you had inside info on any of this.
