Scribblenauts: Write Anything Solve Everything - E3 Game of the Show

Re: Scribblenauts: Write Anything Solve Everything - E3 Game of the Sh

Thread necromancy go!

So the game came out in NA yesterday and I picked it up last night. Most of the reviews I've read have complained about the controls, and they're right... they can be really finicky. It's particularly annoying when you're trying to pick up a moving object and you miss and instead start walking (sometimes to your death).

But overall? Wow. I'm having a huge blast with it. You can summon anything you want on the start screen and just watch them interact... so you can finally solve the caveman vs. astronaut debate once and for all!

Well, what's the verdict?

Without weapons, the astronaut ran away. Until I gave the caveman a club and the astronaut a gun, at which point the astronaut dispatched the caveman with extreme prejudice

You know, I haven't tried that yet.

If you summon God and then summon an atheist, the atheist bolts :p

I'm looking forward to playing this, my copy is still in the mail though and I'm only a few hours into the new Professor Layton game (currently in Dropstone).

It's a so-so game--the controls kill it. But it is a fantastic, fantastic toy.

Also, IIRC, the Pirate kills the Ninja when put to combat. Could someone double check this?

Re: Scribblenauts: Write Anything Solve Everything - E3 Game of the Sh

Pirate kills Ninja UNLESS you first arm the Ninja with a sword. I tried giving the Pirate a gun, but he keeps yoinking his sword back.

I don't think the controls kill it myself... I spend more time trying to figure out solutions to the puzzles then fighting with the controls. It's certainly to the game's detriment but it's not quite bad enough to put me off, at least so far.

Decided what to give my little brother for his birthday. Of course, I'm gonna steal it back from him straight away. :D
