Nurse Wide-Eyes.

Do we have a CLUE which species/world she belongs to? Or just a race made up for this one movie that's never been seen or described anywhere else in TREK lore?

He reminded me of an Ewok enough to be annoying. I hadn't seen this thread when I started my poll.

Reading here, I am surprised at how many folks liked this critter. You are entitled to your opinion, of course. I will be interested to see how it polls out.

Re: Scotty's Ewok thingie

Throw it out of the nearest airlock, stat. No escape pod necessary.

Re: Scotty's Ewok thingie

No, the scaly little green ewok with the climbing fetish.

Re: Scotty's Ewok thingie

rob roy... played a ommpa loompa... not a ewok... get ur movies right...

Re: Scotty's Ewok thingie

Damn shame they didn't put Pegg's buddy Nick Frost in makeup to play his sidekick. But then for all we know, Frost WAS in the movie somewhere. Those two are inseparable.

He must have evolved on a very light-deprived world. Pale, grey scales/skin. Dark obsidian eyes. His planet must be somewhere VERY dark.

No, the scaly little green ewok with the climbing fetish.

I didn't notice it was furry..it looked more like a Jem Hadar dwarf.
It's not furry, it's scaly. Hence my use of the word scaly. It's a useless, pointless little reptillian ewok and I want it to die.

OTOH since it had a uniform on, it must be a memeber of Starfleet, so IDIC, I guess.

And it did give Scotty the opportunity to make the bean joke, which was funny.

Re: Scotty's Ewok thingie

I LOVE HIM!!!

:adore::luvlove::drool::adore::luvlove::drool:

Me too...and whats more important? So did the rest of the crowd I was with. Funny how with just a few sounds he was far more memorable, in a good way, than the entire cast of Enterprise..well..with the exception of Porthos.

Pegg got some great lines. Although at moments his Scotty was an even bigger ethnic stereotype than Doohan's portrayal...so a mixed bag.

Re: Scotty's Ewok thingie

I hate ewoks (which this seems to be compared to a lot, but then I'm not a huge SW fan) but I liked his little companion on the isolated outpost. It just gave him something to bounce off seeing as they were alone and stranded.

Re: Scotty's Ewok thingie

Aww, it was cute. But then again I'm one of the few heretics who likes the ewoks. I have a squeeing fit whenever I see a teddy bear, or a newborn.

Re: Scotty's Ewok thingie

Scotty always seemed like he'd be at home talking smack to a live teddy bear. And at least this one didn't have six-inch fangs.:techman:

Re: Scotty's Ewok thingie

Think he's great. And I'm really starting to wonder what it is with fanboys and their pathological hatred of anything alien that is small and vaguely cute. I suppose if Keener was a hulking brute who snapped people's necks and carried a giant pulse phaser cannon, he would be "badass" and therefore acceptable.

Re: Scotty's Ewok thingie

He's sort of a teddy bear himself. That's one of the reasons I'm so fond of him. I think I'd just keep pinching his cheek until he airlocked himself.
