Scotty's ecounters with other 24th century characters in Trek Lit.

Obviously Scotty knew the crew of Picard's Enterprise. And I recently read a novel where he and Geordi served together on the ship Challenger. Have any of the novels had Scotty have interactions with DS9 characters or Voyager characters post Endgame?

I don't know of that, but Scotty does meet Morgan and Robin Liefler in New Frontier, and he's in several SCE stories.

Probably the best summation of Scotty's 24th Century activities is in the SCE story, The Future Begins, set in May of 2376. While it doesn't take into account EVERY appearance of Scotty in 24th Century treklit, it was damn near close.

Just as a side note, there are a number of comics and short stories which feature Scotty in the aftermath of Kirk's death Generations, 2371.

But his most recent appearances, I believe, were in the later SCE stories.

Hope this helps.

I recommend the Strange New Worlds VII short story "Full Circle". I think other novelverse stories account for it too.

It's the sobering story of how Scotty and Harriman find out about the events of Generations.

Indistinguishable From Magic is essentially the end of Scotty's 24th century adventures, and a fun read.
I believe that is the title of the book I mentioned reading in my first post.

I've read that too.

You should check out the Shatner novels. Aside from “The Ashes Of Eden” and “Collision Course”, the rest of the Shatner novels cross over with the TNG, DS9 and Voyager and span from just after “Star Trek Generations” to after “Star Trek Nemesis” (“Captain’s Glory”, 2381). I remember Admiral Janeway and the Doctor appearing in Glory but I don’t recall if Scotty had any interaction with them.

I've read some of them as well, but not all. I think I recall that Dr. Bashir was in the one titled The Return. Also in the one titled Specter or Spectre, didn't he run into a mirror universe version of Janeway?

I haven't read the SCE stories but I know Indistinguishable from Magic follows his storyline from SCE. I believe it also accounts for when he was featured in the NF book he was in (I don't recall all the details but I don't remember anything from Indistinguishable... that would preclude his appearance in NF which was an earlier story.

The Shatnerverse novels are their own continuity so Scotty's appearances there my differ from the other relaunches.

Another book I always liked that features Scotty past "Relics" is Gene DeWeese's Engines of Destiny. It starts off soon after Scotty is brought back (but before Generations) and he goes back in time to rescue Kirk before he is taken by the Nexus on the Enterprise B (of course Scotty thought he was killed by the Nexus since this was prior to Generations). However he comes to find he altered history despite how cautious he was to take him after he had saved the Enterprise. There is no Federation and the Borg have assimilated Earth. I know some people here didn't care for it too much but I thought it was a great post "Relics" novel. It's sort of a lesson on why you can't change history, no matter how benign your motives.

Scotty also interacts with Barclay (TNG/VOY) and Nog (DS9) in Indistinguishable from Magic.

“Spectre” “Dark Victory” and “Preserver” have him meeting Mirror Janeway, Spock, Kirk, Picard & Paris.
